Persatuan Juruteknologi Pergigian Malaysia (PJPM) is pleased to announce that the 8th Malaysian Dental Technologist Conference and Trade Exhibition will be held at Berjaya Time Square Hotel Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on 26th – 28th April 2024. The participants and attendees will comprise of Dental Technologists throughout Malaysia.
The theme for this 8th Malaysian Dental Technologist Conference & Trade Exhibition 2024 is “Dental Technologist Empowering Digital Era”.

IMPORTANT NOTES
- Registration for the conference will be on a first come first serve basis.
- DT Challenge, Workshop and Poster Presentation participants must register for and attend the conference as scheduled.
Registrations
Rules and regulations:
- Event is only open to participants aged 18 years old and above.
- Each Registration Forms is designed for one participant only.
- All registrations are not transferable to another person’s name.
- Registration will only be valid when full payment is received by the PERSATUAN JURUTEKNOLOGI PERGIGIAN MALAYSIA.
- Closing date for online registration is based on a first come first serve basis.
- The Organiser reserves the right to change the programme without prior notice.
- Registration Package includes:
- Admission to the 3-day Conference (Fri 26th – Sun 28th April 2024)
- Invitation to the Opening Ceremony on Sat, 27th April 2024 11:30 am to 01:00 pm.
- PJPM shall ensure that the privacy of your personal data is consistent with the Malaysian Personal Data Protection Act 2010, and the personal data collected and processed is obtained with the participant’s consent.
Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Accreditation
To be awarded with CPD points, delegates are required to attend the Conference throughout the three days, including all scientific lecture sessions and workshops. Scanning of attendance is available at the entrance of the conference hall daily for every session. Participants must scan the QR code provided upon entering the conference room and at the end of each lecture session.
DT CHALLENGE
(Orthodontic Appliance : Quad Helix)
Limited to 20 participants
Rules and regulations:
- Participants need to fabricate 1 unit of Quad Helix appliance.
- Participants will only be allowed to use the model and wire (0.9 mm) provided by the organizer (Working model with molar bands attached for Quad Helix will be provided).
- Participants need to bring their own Adam Plier/ Round Nose Plier/ Wire Cutter/ Torch/ Micromotor/ Burs and other relevant materials for polishing and finishing the Quad Helix Appliance.
- Organizer will provide orthodontic wire (0.9mm), soldering wire, flux, polishing buff and micromotor (5 units).
- Participants are given 2 hours to complete their appliance. (Each participant will be given 10 minute to use the micromotor provided by organizer for trimming, polishing and finishing their appliance)
- All completed work will be judged and marked by 3 Judges. Highest accumulated marks/points will be selected as a winner. Mark checklist will be given to participants.
- Prizes:
- 1st: RM500 & Certificate
- 2nd: RM300 & Certificate
- 3rd: RM150 & Certificate

POSTER PRESENTATION
All dental technologists and postgraduate dental students (related to the dental technologist industry) are invited & encouraged to participate in the Poster Presentation. Abstracts should feature on ORIGINAL work that has NOT been presented or published previously.
Submission Deadline
- Your abstract must be submitted by 1st March 2024
- Deadlines will be strictly enforced – no exceptions.
Abstract guidelines: –
- Please register from the main conference’s form first.
- Must be written in English, Using Arial size 12 font and in Microsoft Word format, text (left aligned, single line spacing)
- Submitted abstracts will be reviewed according to the Poster Presentation Committee’s ruling and will be evaluated in terms of their appropriateness and overall quality.
All selected abstract for poster presentation will entitle RM 100 and certificate.
Guidelines for Poster Presentation
- Authors are responsible for mounting your own poster at the designated panel at the exhibition area.
- Materials for mounting shall be provided at the secretarial.
- The organizing committee will not be responsible for posters which have not been dismounted after the conference.
Poster Design
- Poster must be in vertical format and fit within a display area of 90cm width x 120cm height.
- Please use font ARIAL throughout the poster.
- Be sure to include the abstract TITLE and AUTHOR (s).
- The presenter’s name should be BOLD.
- The photo of the presenter must be placed on the upper right corner of the poster.
- Name (s) of the author(s), the institution, department/laboratory, funding agencies, city (state) and country should be written below the title in font size smaller than the font size of the title.
- The title of the poster must match the title of the submitted abstract.
- The first letter of each word in the title has to be in CAPITAL letter.
- The poster should be self – explanatory.
